There was, born in the year 971 in a small village in what is now the south of Wales. The village eventually died out as there was only one fertile woman left by 988, the others strangely passing on due to various mishaps and accidental poisonings.
The man himself eventually worked himself to death tending the crops as much of the remaining male population became afflicted with an odd disease causing the palms of both hands to become blistered and raw, rendering them incapable of physical labour.
