Wearing a Wiccan Pentacle Necklace In Public?

I'm resurrecting another old thread. Just to say a thing or two about this.

I have been wearing pentacle for quite a long time, I did it as teenager, then after a long absence from the craft, I have been wearing one almost constantly for over a year. Most of the time nobody seems to notice and then from time to time there's someone who asks about it. Often ignorant questions as they really don't know what it represents. I'm glad to tell them exactly why I wear it and almost always the answer is passed with bit weird look and "ok".

If I'm not on the mood to explain things, I just say that I wear it because it looks cool. Its not a big thing here any more, there's so many metalheads out here who wear one that its just passed on as one of those "heavy metal" things. Specially if I'm wearing a battle jacket or something like that, nobody asks a thing about it.

I remember once some metal guy starting to whine about my pentacle being the "wrong way" as one point it upwards and not two. Gave me a good laugh.

I'm fairly certain that in some christian circles it would raise way more questions, but for them I have an explanation coming up if I don't feel like "shocking" them. I say it represents the five wounds of Jesus Christ. That usually shuts them up if I'm not on the mood for truth.

I think we have the right to show our faith just like others do. Some wear a cross, others have Thor's hammer and I have my pentacle. Those who wont like it, that'll be their problem and not mine. In Finland its very rarely a problem to anyone.

I have been looking for a new pentacle necklace. I found one on Amazon that I like, but I really feel like I should check my local metaphysical stores.

Hello!
So, I recently have bought a wiccan necklace and today was the first day that I wore it. So far, no one has commented on it, but I don't know when people will start questioning me about it.
How should I deal with people who plan on hurting me/spreading hate because of it?
I am grateful for any help!

Or if the person is curious - Take time and explain him/her the meaning of wiccan pentacle.
