I wonder if there are "Christianity Recovery" groups out there. (?)

Just fyi, we actually have a "Christian Witchcraft" forum here, which might help make the transition easier: http://everythingunderthemoon.net/forum ... craft.html

However, for some folks Christian Witchcraft is not a transition toward something else, but is their final destination spiritually (though they might not call it by that name). This pretty much sums up most folk magical paths around the world that were developed after the advent of Christianity, when people had to cleverly combine the two in order to avoid persecution and death.

Btw we also have a Folk Magic forum: http://everythingunderthemoon.net/forum/forum166.html.

Anyway, welcome Dioness and tigerlilystarot.

Hi there. A big welcome to you. I was raised Catholic and although that wasn't to be my path-I respect it. It doesn't have to be either/or. You may find your truth is somewhere between. Lots of joy on your journey.

Welcome! I was also raised a Christian and have always connected strongly with nature. I guess I just never felt complete ignoring that side of myself and like others have said there's so much corruption in the church. I'm still finding my path and I just gotta say the way people in this group speak about people coming from other religious backgrounds is so encouraging. I can't tell you how many times I've felt alienated and scared to really ask questions because of the way Christianity gets spoken about. Welcome, Dioness! :)
