This is going to stir the pot...

Here's the way I see it: a Wiccan is a Witch, but a Witch isn't necessarily a Wiccan. And MOST witches I know are Pagan, but not all. I know a wonderful woman who calls herself a Christian Witch. And as far as I'm concerned, she is. Believe it or not she gets persecuted by both sides...

lol i agree with Sercee on that

*adds explosives to the pot so the stirers get whats coming too them...

the way i see it, a person can be what they want to be.

"Believe it or not she gets persecuted by both sides..."

thats not so hard to believe, i remember a self proclaimed christian witch on here, that person got a bit of hassle, i dont remember who it was now. but who really cares how a person defines thier art so long as its art.

I remember the thread you're referring to, Sobek. It was ironic because I met this person right after that so I had a bit more thought put into the issue when we discussed it. I could not in any way say she wasn't what she said she was after she described her beliefs and practices. I observed that the people who called her down and said she wasn't that for whatever reason (the most common being "You can't be a Christian AND a Witch!") weren't listening to her.

And that's the same problem as with any persecution. Failure to listen. "The most violent element in society is ignorance".

I know exactly how you feel! My parents are very strict christians and although they would still love me and support me, they probably wouldn't feel comfortable around me. And of course they'd lecture me every single solitary day about how now I've apparently chosen death instead of enternal life with Jesus! If it's better never to tell your parents though then don't beat yourself up about it or anything because it's not your fault! It's your life so you get to choose how you live it and I guess some things are just better left unsaid! :D
