OK I just talked to my father {he teach's metaphysics}. Hopefully i state this correctly. A new soul is not really newly made. A new soul is new to earth and this type of living. It has been on many different plans and planets. an old soul is a soul who has been to earth many times. we have a choice whether to reincarnate here of somewhere else. Im trying to make this simple because with all of this in comes karma {for those who believe} Eretik is right. I have a new grandson to and you can see the unconfused look in his eyes. My other grandson is now ten, but when he was younger his past life stayed with him for a while. He doesn't remember anything now. He did ask my dad about his past life.

well if there is such a thing as old souls which honestly I think there is my 13 year old son has most definitely experienced m any lives ... I swear talking to him you feel as if your talking to someone who is at least 30 years old ( i'm 31) and he makes me feel as if i'm a child allot of the time he's always been this way since he was just a little boy. When he was little around 3 years old he used to describe living in mud shelter like settings and a volcano errupting and people running and screaming kinda freaked me out how vividly he described these dreams and some of the other things he described to me at such a young age he just couldn't have known about history.

I've heard Old people say about babies and one of my children when he was a child. He's been here before, by the brightness of the eyes and how wide they held them open. Babies that seem to just be taken things in. Not excited about what's going on around them. Like they were very comfortable and was not shocked by their surroundings at all. Glad to hear this isn't just a black thing. Don't hear many young people say it. But 60 and above you might hear it from them.

That's what I believe "old souls" are, though I ususally just go by the term; reincarnation. I believe in the fact that people, once they pass on, will be reincarnated into another human being, or animal. On the other hand, if they're not reincarnated, then they have probably had many lives before their final death.
Like some people will have 34 lives, and he one they're living at the time will be 33. They have one ore life. As other people might have 75 lives to live and have only gone through 57.
So, pretty much what I believe in is: "old souls" are the people in life who have many lives, and have lived a lot of them laready. "new sould" are the people who have just begun their cycle of experiences and lives. Like if they have 56 lives to live and so far, have only lived 2 of them.....

I never truly thought about "old" and "new" souls but I do have a question about reincarnation that I was never really clear on, when a person dies can that soul be reborn into an animal's body instead of another human's?

This must seem like a silly question but I'm curious.

My Grandbaby

Postby pegasusflyinghigh » Tue Sep 30, 2008 11:15 pm

My sister and I both believe in reincarnation. My youngest grandbaby I truly believe is an old soul. She seems to have a knowledge and wisdom in her eyes when she looks at you. No, ok, well, yes, maybe I am prejude - :D But my granddaughter is someone who has been down many roads before - its just there in her eyes.

Blessed Be,
