Rosebud, a sonnet

Rosebud~
I will never forget the cool night
When I realized the beautiful image hidden within
Before just another girl from sight
I regret all the time the image hid under smooth skin
I cannot remember if I cried
When all the emotion flooded through
So much pain as though part of me died
How is it red love can make one blue?
No writer could spin a grand enough story
Nor any musician dedicate a song
To capture even a thread of her glory
Even if they had all eternity long
Over and over her grace I mourn
Ones lone love, like a rose with a thorn
I will never forget the cool night
When I realized the beautiful image hidden within
Before just another girl from sight
I regret all the time the image hid under smooth skin
I cannot remember if I cried
When all the emotion flooded through
So much pain as though part of me died
How is it red love can make one blue?
No writer could spin a grand enough story
Nor any musician dedicate a song
To capture even a thread of her glory
Even if they had all eternity long
Over and over her grace I mourn
Ones lone love, like a rose with a thorn
