Coffee grounds
I throw away a lot of coffee grounds. I've seen people put them on the soil around their plants. Is this a good use of them? I've seen people do the same with egg shells.

Coffee grounds and pine or spruce needles also add acidity to the soil, so a caution, if your soil is already fairly acidic you may want to avoid doing this, but certain plants (azaleas come to mind) love acidic soil so read up on them and use your coffee grounds where they are growing.

I'm another advocate of sprinkling plant soil with a light layer of coffee grounds. Seems to work pretty good. I don't know about PINE NEEDLES though, MOONSTONE! (nudge, nudge, light tap on shoulder, slaps back of her head!
) sniff, sniff. You must have forgotten about me.
