Does anyone else know about energy "hot spots"?
I have encountered a few cases of energy "hot spots", and am curious if anyone else has had similar experiences.
I am not just talking about charged areas, like some houses or clearings which hold more energy than others, but entire cities or even states. I don't know whether they would act the same for each person. Perhaps energy simply flows better for certain people when they are in specific locations (ley lines? dragon caves?). When I was in Colorado, the energy I had at my disposal was far greater than I had in Minnesota. I am not going to go into the details at the moment, to retain a little suspension of disbelief on the readers' parts, but suffice to say I was a lot stronger there.
Was it the mountains? Was it the altitude? Was it just my own affinity for the area perhaps?
Also, on the other side, I've encountered "cold spots", areas with far less energy than I'm used to, making me feel tired and worn-out as well as devoid of magic. I experienced that in Michigan. I have no way to explain that, other than my proximity to Detroit. Perhaps I am weaker around some cities?
Of course, there's still the localized beacons of power, and dead zones (like jails cells), that people talk about.
I was just curious about other people's views on these topics, and was philosophically interested in the potential reasons for these occurrences.
Ciao!

yes, with large cities a shaman psychologist named Arnold Mindel coined the term to describe energetic variations in groups.
these spots also occur because of the geometry of place, occult activity, and portals in nature. yeah and you're right, your pagan center is attracted to certain places on the planet that are unique to your energy matrix. Caroline Myss did a tape on the Pagan Center.

May the love that holds eternity at its fingertips kiss each and everyone one you on the lips. May your words bring worlds that bring hope to a world dying to be reborn.

There can be a collective energy signature associated with cities too. This is a byproduct of the mass of people that inhabit the city and what their general collective tendency is as it pertains to their emotional/mental/spiritual state. For instance, Salt Lake City has a markedly different collective signature than New York City and both are different than LA, etc. You can find this phenomenon in subsections of cities too. As an example, South Minneapolis, especially around the Phillips Neighborhood-which has the highest crime rate in the city-has a very negative energy signature to it that I've personally experienced.

Fantastic replies!
Thanks you guys for your input! I had come to similar conclusions with regards to my own "energy matrix" as you put it, and the comment about certain cities having different energies to them has definitely been noted as well. Detroit felt awful to me, but Minneapolis seems alright, with some exceptions.
When I was younger, I felt that certain areas in my town were markedly more dark than others, and when I got into my teens, I thought of it as "decay". I don't remember what it was about them, but it made me very uncomfortable. I've been in those areas recently, and they don't resonate the same way as they used to, but now different areas in town have begun to have that effect on me.
Wind seems to fill me with glee and ambition. Mountains make me powerful. Fire makes me excited and creative. Water makes me energetic. Forests make me feel slightly more animal-like...Yeah, nature certainly has an impact on me!
I also know that other people, friends, family, etc., respond slightly differently to these areas, depending on how similar they are to me. I've found that the people are are most like me are also most likely to feel the same way I do in these locales...
Thanks again for the feedback!

Yep and once you know there is more than what meets the eye in certain areas you can began to do magic there or avoid them.
For instance, I am from a small southern town with a lot of unfinished business. That unfinished business can manifest as crime and decay. Through doing Ancestral work in certain parts of the city the energy matrix of the city can be manipulated to my will Muhahahahaa!! Good thing I'm a medicine person and my will is to heal.

It's a wonderful experience
I love finding places with such a powerful energy signature. They make me feel like I'm one with the gods and spirits, and oh the how beautifully we dance...

Absolutely! In my country,Greece,I know of at least three big places where I can feel a big surge of energy(although not a positive one always). One is Delphi, which was considered a sacred place of energy in ancient times and it had the most famous oracle. The other one is a city called Veroia in Macedonia,Greece, where my father comes from(and where Alexander the Great's mother, who was said to be a powerful witch, visited often).I feel strong energy coming from it,although I feel it as negative energy. Then there is Samothraka, which is an island relatively close to my home town, where you can feel strong energy. Most people either absolutely adore the place or absolutely hate it,depending on the way they perceive the energy. The island is considered a place of great energy for thousands of years, there were mysteries taking place there from prehistoric times(and as far as I know people gather from all around Europe in summer near the full moon to practice magic, white and black) and there was also a powerful oracle in the time of the Trojan war(estimated 3000 b.c. but many say long before that).
I've heard of many other places in the world, but these ones are the ones I can think of that I've visited. Most people feel differently in at least two of the three places, even if they don't study anything about spirituality and don't know about the places having strong energy.

Merry meet and merry part and merry meet again.
Greece!
That's wonderful input that you've given me here! I've always wanted to visit Europe, and check how powerful the energies are in some of the more famous locales. If I ever do get to go there, I'll be sure to visit Delphi and Samothraka and all of them. I need to check some places in Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Italy, and so on...There're so many places I need to go!
Thanks for the reply!

Athens, OHIO is one of those spots. Also called `the most haunted city in Ohio.` It`s got energy vortexes and hotspots littered all over. There are people who claim Athens is inside of a pentacle (made of 5 cemeteries) and the cemetery at the top of the pentacle is particularly strange. Something about the direction that the graves were places, (like the starting point being east or north or something... I can`t remember very well.) and that it is different than the majority of cemeteries.

Hi All,
I have an energy hot spot area here in the Berkshires of MA. In fact, it is here by the college I went to and is right on the college campus. If you go to the campus and go to the middle of the campus quad there is a huge energy center there. The campus is haunted in various spots as well which makes for an interesting energy signature. I have learned that the energy spots are nothing to really worry about but I keep my eyes (physical and spiritual) open to help out when I can.

Paris is amazing and beautiful.
I have heard that Assisi is one such spot. I want to get there maybe next year or the year after.
There is something weird about Southern Ohio and W. Va. The whole area with the Mothman stuff. I used to hear legends of haunted hollows in W. Va. I used to live about 200 miles from that area and believe me, it was one weird place.

Ley lines do create hot spots so to speak but there is a different feel to energy from a ley line than that of say a store of energy in a mountain that is off a ley line. Now for a ley line hot spot try finding a junction between 2 or more ley lines. You could look into the concept of ley lines. They might have something to do with your "hot spots".
