Kicking Addiction
Kicking Addiction
I have been addicted to pornography for about two years, and every time I've tried to quit, I'm always compelled to return. It interferes with my life and relationships.

This would be hard for anyone to advise you if they've never dealt with an addiction. When I was fourteen, I got hooked on Crystal Meth. I followed lots of people's advice when I was trying to quit, but they didn't know what they were doing. One of these people's advice damn near got me killed.
Some people will talk to you about anonymous groups and 12-step programs. They don't work. What you need is a chance to reinvent yourself. Sort of a resurrection.
My addiction lasted 2 years until I was shipped out to my grandfather's down in Oak Grove, Louisiana. I didn't know anyone and couldn't find a supplier for drugs. It was way out in the country, way out in what civilized people call the boonies.
It was out there, I was literally tied down to a bed to withdraw for awhile. After that, I surrounded myself with supportive people. I redefined my spirituality (long story about that).
The thing is my addiction is still with me. When I get stressed out, I want to smoke meth again, but you have to fight it. It is a constant battle. If you can't find a support system, you will lose that battle every time.

Ase. Guardian Wolf is right. Community is medicine. You may have this in place in your life already. If you do not there are many resources available to you. PM me if you are interested.
You are either for Life or against It. There is no in between.
I used to believe in god above. Now I'm filled with so much love.-Erykah Badu after the invocation of the Goddess
May the love that holds eternity at its fingertips kiss each and everyone one you on the lips. May your words bring worlds that bring hope to a world dying to be reborn.
