Cold Hands

Sometimes I like to push energry through my hands...I will push it from one palm into the other until it becomes almost something tangable...When I am finished my hands are physically very cold...not as extreme as ice but like coming in from a very cold winter day. Sometimes they can almost be wet. I have heard people saying that they give off heat but does anyone have any insight as to why I feel cold?

I wonder, when you do so, do you hold your hands out away from your body, or up in the air or do you sit with the, on your lap, or down by your sides.

If i were to hold my hands outwards, even keeping my elbows at my sides and bending at the elbow to hold my hands out, they would get cold, even at room temperature. Obviously not in a hot room or in the sun but in a cool temperature, such as average shady room temperature (particularly during this time of year here in the northern hemisphere).

Perhaps this is the cause?

Just a thought, not a definitive answer!

I thought about that and have tried to hold my hands closer to my body...I thought maybe it was my breath so I held my head to the side as to not breath on my hands...I also sat directly infront of an open wood burnning fire. So I am sure that environment is not the factor....
In my efforts to change my surrounding to rule out the interplay...I found the physical coldness ever present and unchanged.

Any other thoughts?

Where are you sending the energy? Merely between your hands or do you eventually send it outwards?

Perhaps it is a case of the energy leaving your hands and collecting in between or going wherever you send it, thus leaving your hands with less energy than usual?

I have experimented with both.

Sometimes I will just pull the energy up into my hands and just build it up between them...just breathing in energy and pushing it through my hands and holding it in the space between them.
When I push it out as in bringing energy in and directing it out of myself to send to the Earth or to a thought or a person they also still become physicaly cold.
The more energy that passes through them though either pushing out or just holding it in a space...the colder they will become. So the more intense level of energy that I can pass through the more intense the after effect of cold is felt.
It does not have a distinctive negative or positive feeling to it.

Strange indeed!

I cant think of any reason for it to make you or someone else feel cold, but equally i cant think of any reason why this sort of energy *must* make them feel warm.

I wonder if anyone else can shed light on it, I'm all out of ideas for now :P

I noticed my hands get cold instead of hot if I try to do chi balls when I am in a bad mood. IF I'm in a good mood my hands are warm like most people...but thats just me.

Thank you for your sharing. I find that very interesting. However, I do not find that for me the coldness is related to emotion or mood.
I do not even know if I was in a bad mood that I would be able to draw very much energy into myself..next bad mood and I will try...who knows maybe I will feel heat?!?

Yea, I find this is more specificly related to my chakra system and auric field. When I direct my chi from my heart and my 3rd eye, i get a vibrant pure energy. When I'm off-balanced auricly then my energy can actually be destructive. But then there are times when I simply bask in the peace and joy, which makes things move in slow motion in a sense and a simple energy is formed that I love to play and dance with in my hands and body.

I beleive there are 3 qualities (or energies). Creative, perserving, and destructive. I beleive mastering these energies is the key to the elixir of life people refer to. We could preserve these bodies forever, and heal them when someone else sends destructive energy our way.

It would require extreme sensitivity and power over all energies though.

Love.

It is funny that you wrote something here...I was reading something else you wrote and was sort of sending you a hug. I love when things like that happen.

djoya, it sounds like you're nulling you're energy flow. You're pushing energy without purpose, or tasking. This isn't a great analogy but think of it like going through you're daily Life as an example:

You do the same thing every day. It's kind of a rote exercise. Every day you get up at the same time; have the same breakfast; go to work and do exactly the same job in exactly the same fashion as you've done every other day; you go home and eat the same dinner; do the same evening thing; go to bed at the same time; and repeat the same thing the next day.

You're expending energy, yes, but by its repetitiveness it has been 'nulled'. You're in 'Idle'. You have no purpose, or tasking. At least no new tasking. I know that's rather a rotten example but the best I could come up with off the top of my head.

Hope this helped some!

One Walker...thank you for your thoughts!
There are indeed times when I am just bringing the energy in and not directing it anywhere other than to just bring it into my body or just to feel it...sometimes I do also direct the energy though...although I can not think if when I do that it effects the temperature. I am going to check into this. I am very curious now.

I am a Sagg so I think it is a wonderful example. Thank you again very much! :)
