Define: Eclectic;
making decisions on the basis of what seems best instead of following some single doctrine or style
I trust you are wiccan?
There is a difference between wicca and witchcraft, i am not wiccan but i can still perform witchcraft. And i am also eclectic. I choose what i want to involve in my path and i dont listen to what others say is true or false, i include only what i want and not a list of things that other people tell me i must believe or follow.

I class myself as an eclectic witch ...
I'm not Wiccan I do not believe in deighties but I celebrate the sabbats, I would class myself more a hedge witch I read tarot do crystal healing,
I like herbs and potions and cast spells when needed
I take what i feel comfortable with and do not allow others beliefs to dictate mine

More or less a person who follows thier own Paganwitchcraft path. Drawing on different forms of wicca and witch craft to find thier own unique tradition.

Drawing on different forms of wicca and witch craft
Except it doesnt have to involve wicca at all, much like myself
We cant perpetuate the idea of wicca = witchcraft!!

Ah I am very glad someone else posed this question! I was wondering what to call myself, because Wiccan didn't fit...so I suppose I am an Eclectic Christian Witch...well somehow I feel quite relieved to know what to call myself

Thank you to those that answered!!

You are right, I should have but wicca and/or witchcraft. My mistake.

Truthfully, almost all paths of witchcraft are eclectic. Witchcraft itself is about taking in what works for you and getting rid of what doesn't. Wicca is the biggest eclectic mix of it all. Most people who claim eclectic are normally still hanging on to strong Wiccan aspects like the harm none and 3 fold rule. Others who just call themselves pagan or a witch just take from all sources and uses what works for them. All paths of witchcraft are also influenced by something else as well, whether it be folk magic of the area, religious belief or culture in general but started out in some way as something slightly different, so it's all eclectic, though that may seem very confusing.
