Everything Under the Moon

I was wondering if anyone had an explanation for a weird thing that has been happening in my dreams for about 5 years now.

I keep dreaming of a man, he looks different in different dreams, but somehow I know it is definately the same man, there is a presence there. As I said this has been happening for quite a while now, he plays different roles in the dreams, sometimes he is a lover, sometimes a friend, sometimes he is just a presence.

I always feel safe and loved when I'm near the presence but I'm rubbish at lucid dreaming so I've never been able to ask him who he is. I'd love to hear peoples thoughts on this, or maybe some advice on what to do? I feel like there's something I should be doing in relation to this presence but I cant figure out what it is.

This is surely something important, but it won't need any rushing.

I had the same thing. I dreamed over years of this guy in different forms and different roles (lover, friend, something else). But one thing always stayed the same, he tried to rescue me, but he failed every time. It took him over 10 years of form changing until he was able to protect me and that was in the form of a wolf. He turned out to be my protection animal guide (or whatever you could call him).

So with you of course, this could be something totally different. But you should look up what always stays the same beyond that you know it's always him. This could give you a first clue of what is important and how you can deal with this. But when he is always changing forms and roles he surley is searching for a role that fits the need. So look at the roles and forms more closely if you see an emerging pattern. This also could give you a hint.

Thanks, that actually helps a lot. I remember always feeling safe when he's there and like I should recognise him, as if I already know him from somewhere. Perhaps I'm just impatient wanting to know what he means right now, maybe he'll just let me know when it's time? I'm not really sure how to proceed at the moment, he's been turning up more and more in the last year.
