Should I Banish?

I believe that a former friend may has put a curse on one of family members. Right after a rant about being jealous of my life and being angry with my lack of loyalty to her actions ( really bad things ), this family member suddenly developed problems that no doctor or therapist has been able to make sense of. She is a very negative person whose family is involved in such things. Since moving near my house, symptoms have gotten worse. I'm working on a spell to break the curse and plan to follow it with a protection spell. My question is, should I also do a banishing spell on her or is that overkill? I kinda don't like her living by me. When I tried to call and make peace she told me how she noticed something new we did to our house. Kinda creepy. Thanks for any tips

Can I use a banishing spell to get rid of the curse and the person at one time?

Well, from what I could gather from your discription is that you feel that you are cursed because one of your family members became ill and nobody can tell you what might cause this? In this case I wouldn't do a banishing, instead do a house cleansing (there are several ways to do this), ask protection from your household spirits or gods and charge the hearth so nothing can enter without you allowing it entrance.

I think that banishing people in general is something that shouldn't be done. You should find a different way to deal with the person, at the very least.
If you do a search on the site, if you have that ability right now, you'll probably find a good number of spells to break hexes, or remove curses. I recommend trying a simple one, if you're determined in your thinking that this is a curse.

Otherwise, I would just make sure you do some protection on your family, and try to really think about whether this is a real curse or perhaps just you thinking that because you know someone who is capable of these things, then they necessarily MUST have done it to you.

I would say, give to the sick person a Black Tourmaline to wear or hold in a pocket, its a stone that doesn't allow other's spellwork towards a person who have it, and also removes the curse!

Thank you everyone for the advice. I greatly appreciate it. I think I will start with a house cleansing and see what happens. I've just started looking into gemstones and crystals. I haven't heard of Black Tourmaline but will look into getting it. Is there a way to find out if it is really a curse? Or will I discover the truth along the way?

I really liked your post! This seems very odd that this would happen and I feel that if your intuition is telling you so strongly that this is the case...it would be fickle to not trust it. It is your spirit guides telling you something is wrong. You could always do a binding spell too. This would "bind" the individual from doing harm to themselves and others (you probably saw a version of it on the Craft). Some may suggest a mirror spell to mirror the damage back to the sender in an increased form...but in my opinion, that is you doing damage yourself and that reflects back negatively on yourself, as far as Karma goes. I would suggest a Binding Spell and Protection Spell. Break out the Sage, baby!

Thank you Apollo Obsidian. I did a house cleansing and a healing spell and saw a lot of improvement. She did just pop up on my FB page out of nowhere. I'm going to do a protection spell to be safe. Blessings!
