Everything Under the Moon

hey everyone , i didn't know where this nice little post should go so i figured i put it here and see if any of you can help me out.
i came out of "The broom closet" to my mother in early august. she didn't freak out or get mad and she doesn't pretend that I'm just going through a phase, shes rather accepting. but when ever i want to talk about religion to her or i express my love and excitement for the goddess she gets upset. i love my mother dearly and i know she loves me i just don't know how to express my faith to her without her getting upset.
she doesn't really understand what i practice but if i try to explain...well is there really a good explanation for that wonderful bond you feel with the earth?
well anyway if anyone could give me some advice i would greatly appreciate it.

Maybe she just needs a little bit more time to get to terms with this change... for you it was an entire process to find the suitable path but it was very sudden for your mum to find out at once that something in your life (and in hers) has changed. Hope this helped

I agree with Cris, maybe she needs time to get used to it, I think it's wonderful that she didn't freak out. Your mother sounds like a very accepting person, non judgemental and I think that's great this situation isn't the kind where you have to "strike the iron while it's hot", so to speak, so it's good you're not forcing her to get used to it, time is all she needs
