I'll just get straight to the point, I can't remember any of my dreams. None of them. I know you're suppose to use Dreams Journals as soon as you wake up but, I don't remember anything as soon as I wake up. Just a dark pit in my memory. I was wondering if there is anything to help me remember my dreams. And I know I have them, because sometimes during the day, bits of pieces come to me, but as soon as I grasp it. It escapes me and I cant remember it again. I don't know maybe my dream are so traumatic, I refuse to remember any of them. But I just want to know is there anyway to help me?

There are techniques for remembering dreams, though they take time and practice. Meditating before you go to sleep to clear your mind may help.

Others will know more about different aspects to this issue. I've been a dreamer for so long I can't remember what I did help with this. Unfortunately, that was during a time where I didn't even have a journal so I don't have records. >.<

But to answer your question, yes there are ways to help.

Hello, I know you posted this a bajillion years ago, but just incase you were still struggling with this or anyone else happens by, I have a few techniques that help me.

There are some recurring people and themes in your dreams. When you first wake up, run through the common people and places you visit. Maybe your friend is always there, or you're always in a house where you grew up.

A dream journal is definitely key to remembering. I have one I write out by hand and I also have a dream journal app on my phone, so that way I have no excuse not to make an entry - my phone is always on me. If you don't know the recurring things in your dream, the dream journal will help you realize what they are. Within a week or two, you might be dreaming and realize that "wait, this was in my dream last night..." and bam, you'll be lucid!

No worries, this Post is still open. So thank you for the suggestion. :D

Like The Judge said, meditating before I go to sleep always helps me. I have more vivid dreams that way. It's like, I get so far into myself, I don't know if I'm asleep or in a trance, but eventually my dreams that I'm conscious of end and I do fall into sleep. (or, if I already am asleep, into a deeper sleep.)
