Strange "Dream"

First, a bit of background: I have a recurring dream every few months about a cave. In this cave, I have a completely overwhelming sense of foreboding, like I know something terrible will happen if I stay there. And usually I can wake myself up before anything happens. Now, to the dream:
I was in said cave, apparently playing hide and seek with a (inanimate) teddy bear. I would get close to it, and it would vanish and appear somewhere else. This went on for about 20 minutes, until I found it and approached it. It didn’t vanish. I asked it, “Well, what do we do now?”. It turned it’s head to look at me (creepy), and the second we locked eyes, an energy like I’ve never felt came over me. It was like I was being electrocuted and paralyzed all at the same time. I forced myself awake, and still felt like I was being electrocuted and still couldn’t move, even though I was fully awake. Finally, I mentally created a shield around me, and it seemed help, so I kept making my shield stronger and stronger until the feeling was completely gone. Needless to say, I didn’t sleep much the rest of the night.
Any thoughts as to what this was?
