Hades

Postby dreadedpsychopomp » Sun Nov 17, 2013 9:56 pm

For quite a few years, I've felt very drawn to Hades. I haven't actively Worked with him or worshipped him, though one time I gave him an offering and then tried to grow baby plants on the table I'd used as a temporary altar. They were swallowed up by white mold and died. I got the feeling that he'd taken them as an offering as well.

I'm also very, very drawn to Death symbolism and have encountered reapers. As you can perhaps also tell from my username, the dead are a pretty concrete part of my life. I've recently realized that Hekate has been with me all along, and I know that she and Hades are linked in a way.

So... aside from his basic myth, can you tell me anything about him? Do you have personal experience? Is he a difficult deity to honor? How has he impacted your life or the lives of those you know?

Well Death does sometimes take apprentices. He is the closest to the Forbidden Domains where the most evil individuals are being educated about life. In a lot of ways Death is the Gate Keeper and most of the time acts in service to the Upper Gods, but he is part of their family. From what i know everyone starts of the Death knight hood wearing crystal armors until they have earned the robes of magic, as well as inherit the life engines that allow them to do their guard duty. Yes they are guardians. They take the best meditation masters because they have untold amounts of self control and work perfectly with others. So if you want to join the Death Order you have to have one of those qualifications. Latter on in their society as you gain ranks you get eventually to rule Perifery Universes among the rest of the gods. Death is one of the most honored gods in Elysium, because of the work load he delivers. Good choice but you should familiarize yourself with the rest of the gods as well, because you will be working with them is you need to step in the Death orders.
It's what it is

That sounds like something out of a video game or anime. O.o In fact, I'm so bemused by it, I plan to look it up because it sounds like fun to play and/or watch.
