(My First) Dorm Altar!

Hello all! I am happy to introduce my very first altar to you all :) I live in a college dorm, so I am only allowed to have certain things.

The candles are electronic, but look real enough and are vanilla scented. We aren't allowed to burn real candles. They take 3 AAA batteries and were about $2.75 a piece at Wal-Mart.

The owl is for incense, and smokes. We aren't allowed to burn incense, but I thought it was a great representation of Athena, since she is my deity. It was about $5.00

The two cups were about $2.00 a piece and hold my sea salt (earth) and water

The rubies were around $3.00 for a huge bag. I used them because rubies are symbolic of Athena, and they are also very powerful stones to have.

The pentacle is from my necklace. I'm looking to order another one soon for the altar only.

Lastly, I used a simple hand towel for my blanket. I picked one that said "Trust" on it, because that is my main focus. I must learn to Trust in this new path and follow it completely.

I am pretty proud of it, myself :) I looked for hours to find everything I wanted. Hopefully y'all like it too!

I really like it, I have an owl on mine too. Does the owl represent Athena to you also? Or something else?

Oooh, that's just lovely! I've always felt owl as a kindred spirit, so I really love it's presence on your altar (I have a number of owl collectables in my spell work/reading room). Great symmetry with the pillar candles too!

very cool. :fairy: ..
you might want to try essential oil mixed with a bit of rubbing alcohol and water in a water mister ...use that as your Air representative or "incense" substitute, it smells great and no danger of burning the dorm down! I like lavender it is a lighter oil and won't clog the sprayer like say, patchouli would.
