Everyone is different when they get involved with the God and Goddess. However, one of the main things to do is research. A LOT of research.
Some people refer to the God and Goddess just like they are, and others refer to them as the Lord and Lady. Others choose a certain deities that they work with/connect with but is still generally a god/goddess of their choosing. It all depends on the person, their spiritual beliefs, their preferences/what pantheon they choose, etc. etc.
What I do now is set up a temporary altar(since I'm in the broom closet) with things in my room that reference the different elements(even though it might not look like it).
Then I just light a candle(I have a white/vanilla candle that I use to reference the element fire, so it's already in the altar), and just pray. I tell the God and Goddess how everything is going in life right now, anything that I ask for them to solve like problems and such, and then thank them for listening and for being there(of course, I first invite them in the beginning as a sign of respect and politeness).
No matter what I say/ask, I ALWAYS say many times that it is with high honor/respect, and that I just thank them for everything. This is just what I do though.
Also, what I've just started doing recently is give offerings while I thank them. This is only at the end though, and after I finish the offering I thank them again and bow towards the altar/in front of the God/Goddess and then snuff out the candle. I don't blow out the candle because I heard that it was bad/was disrespectful in some way(I forgot the reason lol).
Basically the offerings are food and drink. You tell them that you would like to offer these, and then eat/drink everything on their behalf. Again, this is just what I do.

I also heard from BabyBear from one of her posts on the forums here that what she does is writes a letter and burns it, so that the letter goes into the spiritual world so that the God/Goddess can read it. I like this idea and might be doing it in the future.

Hope this helps!

Ok thanks for the info I read that you first have to sit with the moon at night to get to know the goddess and then the sun at day to get to know the God for 7 days or more if I already feel them in me can I just start with an offering or should I still sit with them?

That would depend on you. You don't have to neccessarily do that to connect with the God and Goddess, but you can if you wish to. Some people do that based on their preferences, and others don't and decide to do something else.
When you do an offering, you should still sit with them because it is a sign of respect. If you were a god and I decided that I wanted to give you an offering and just dropped it off and left, it wouldn't be very respectful, now would it? :)

I felt like I was drawn to my Goddess Isis...
Everywhere I went, what I was watching on tv,
we use to camp down at Slab City
(www.desertdutch.org)
and there's a street named Isis ! For me it was
just Isis, her hubby/brother mate bothered me;
being an incest survivor I could not see him
in my pantheon. Lately I added giving thanks to
Mother Earth in my nightly prayers and have
been more drawn to Mother Earth right now
than Isis...? Is that odd or what ?

This is a very good and very common question. There are many different ways that you can get in touch with the Goddess and God. I'm going to share a few of the ones I have found and used myself.

One of the common ways is to perform an introduction ritual (not a dedication ritual) but an introduction ritual where you within a formal offering ceremony introduce yourself to them and give them a gift as a symbol of wanting to know them and of your desire to get to know them, worship them, and work with them. I've used this method for both The Lord and Lady as well as individual or specific deities from specific pantheons.

Another way is to meditate and contemplate their essence. You can ask that they reveal themselves to you and then go into a meditative state and focus on that energetic force in your life. Through this practice you can get actual visions of the God and Goddess and you may get personal names and images revealed to you. This is also a process for attuning yourself to that energetic force. This is how I have gotten to know most Gods and Goddesses.

Finally one of the easiest ways to get to know the God and Goddess is to simply pray to them. Prayer comes in many different forms and ways of working. You can simply speak some words from your heart to the God and Goddess and ask that they join you in your life. You can offer prayers for worship and many other things. Prayer is probably my favorite way of connecting to deities and spirits. Its a very useful tool for maintaining and developing daily practices and daily work with the deities and spirits.
