how do you work with nyx

Merry meet everyone,

i just wanted to know if anyone knows how to work with the greek goddess nyx. I have read about her in many books and loves mythology from around the world but only a few gods and goddesses, but she caught my mind the most and how i now started to like the night more and more. like i can feel the night's power surround me. does anyone know how to work with her sense their its little to none information about this goddess of the night.

Have you see this page about her before? http://www.theoi.com/Protogenos/Nyx.html It doesn't offer a whole lot in the way she was worshiped, but it might help a bit. Traditionally Greek gods would be approached with an offering, like incense, or some sort of food, or a libation of wine. She seems to have been associated more with the chthonic deities, and I believe their offerings often would often have been buried outside, or burned in a pit (rather than on a raised altar) but it does vary from deity to deity... Black bulls and other black animals were sacrificed to Nyx. Obviously not really an option for the majority of people, but many Greek pagans make cookies or bread in the shape of the sacrificial animal and offer that instead. (This actually comes from an old Greek practice.) You might make bull cookies, and use food coloring, icing, sprinkles, black seeds, or something like that to make them black? Eggs would also be an appropriate offering.
