Well I expect that ness and a few other members are out at Burning Man this week.

I found a live stream on the Burning Man website so I thought I'd post it here so we could all see the man and the temple burn, which will be today and tomorrow .

I have another post on this I was going to add this information to it, but I can't find it anywhere.
....so as a new thread on Burning Man, yay

Someday I'd love to go. There is a group locally that does one in this neck of the woods, but it is really hard on our environment here (root systems etc) to have so many people gather and I don't think people take as good care of their footprints....which is not in the true spirit of Burning Man. Thanks for this. Someday I'll get there!

Okay, I have never been to burning man, but I have been to so many music and art festivals. If anyone needs help packing or what to expect, please feel free to PM me. Music festivals are an amazing experience because they literally create a temporary community of like minded individuals. Super cool experience!

I was a little slow on the uptake this year, sorry bout that.
The man burned last night, but the temple burns tonite. Mentally send your prayers to the temple where they will be released in flame.
Here the link.

Sounds like a good time. I've been to Knapp ins, primitive living camps and that sort of thing. We made primitive shelters, atlatls and arrows, flint knapped and other skills but never at something that big. It sounds amazing!

Oh I didn't find any stream in the burning time and now I find... place full of sand, people packin'

Sand is still cool though... did you know that sand under microscope looks like all those crystals that we buy for our craft?

Seems like they have elaborated quite keenly on the ways of light and electricity https://burningman.org/event/art-perfor ... -your-art/
