I have some questions about insects if anyone out there has some knowledge about them.

Hi Devi, I'm sure folks will help out if they can, but first...since you're here in the introductions section...why don't you take a second to introduce yourself? I know I'd like to be able to say "hi".

Well lets see I'm 62 always knew there was something different about me,I started getting interested in witchcraft when I was 16 also found out from my mom that my grandmother was a medium and had seances in Germany which my mom swore she saw the table lift it could have been a young girls imagination or not,my childhood was not a good one but there was one true gift for me a preying mantis ,his name was Charlie and he loved potato chips he would be on my window sill ever morning until one morning he wasn't as a child I was always fasinated by insects but as I matured not so much.But they seem to be interested in me lately I was told it could be my spirit guide.my hobbies are anything dealing with beads I just started making beaded trees,unfortunately as a teen I did a binding spell which gave me not such a nice marriage at that time I knew nothing about a binding spell I sure do now!

I love insects as well. I have had several great experiences with them as messengers and I love to connect with them also. Start a thread and let's talk bugs!!! I especially love the Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths) and coleoptera (beetle) families, and I want to study apiculture. I wanted to do the entomology course at my university badly, but I have a full corse load right now, and then I hope to be working.....someday. Bug me anytime!

Welcome Devi. You made me remember some bits of a dream or nightmare from many years ago. It concerned scarabs, but I don't remember the rest. Now I need to research scarabs.

I think we forget sometimes that insects have been around long before who knows who and we tend to think more of a spirit quide as an animal,I personally wanted a cool one like the hawk that flies over my head most every day whom I've named Beauty but it seems in the Goddess and Gods wisdom its to be an insect pretty sure its the stinkbug because for that bug to be sitting on the glass candle tip watching me in the winter during ritual I can't explain plus just for the heck of it I left my finger where the stinkbug was sitting and I couldn't hold it there it got to hot so I'm quessing stinkbug it is but I'll definitely be paying way more attention to insects this year

One of my spirit guides is Fox. My friend Raymond was the TrickFox. He still checks in now and then.

Humans could learn much from insect behavior and I suspect wise beings on alien worlds who have survived themselves have done so by emulating hive behavior. Collective cooperation supporting the common good we see in wise little critters such as the ant, termite, bee etc. has ensured their survival for millions of years. We yet have so much to learn. Insects are pretty awesome. My whole life I've always found a ladybug around. She'll just be sitting on my shoulder, or I'll find her on the steering wheel somewhere. Even though I know it's not the same ladybug, I've nicknamed her Gretchen. [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]
