Everything Under the Moon

i was given a very strong vision of a kind of penticle/pentagram (i've heard people call it both so...); but i do not know what it means. does anyone here know what its significance is? its the normal symbol; 5 pointed star with a circle around it, but inside the pentagram created by the lines of the star there was a circle divided into 8 sections. those that faced N,S,E,&W were black while the others were white. i got the feeling it had something to do with the four elements, but i am not sure how. I am still learning about things like this so i haven't found it anywere in my reading as of yet. thoughts, ideas, comments, all welcome.

Hi, I suppose only you know what the vision means but it's sounds at least like you've super-imposed two things which can't co-exist in reality which is fairly common for visions as far as I know.

One is a five pointed star with a circle around it which has many significances in various modern and old contexts.

The other seems to be a compass rose which can be seen on most older maps and charts in the form you describe (it's the thing which tells North-East-South-West).

For both of these I think you have to determine what they mean to you. What does the circumscribed five pointed star mean to you currently?

For the compass rose, I'd look around in any map/chart like books I've been reading recently in which such a figure appears or maybe there's one you see every day, this might help you determine its significance.

I know this advice seems boring and mundane but you might find out that
the meaning of the vision itself was extremely powerful or useful.

thanks it's odd. i have been getting a lot of visions involving the 5 pointed star lately. infact just last night i had another where a normal star with circle around it. in the center was two cresent moons facing each other. touching the top line of the center of the star. Which wasn't unusual, but then the image was sliced in half. The side Mirroring my right was flipped upside down. then it was as if it whatever had cut and flipped it tried to fit it together like that. which didn't work, then it flipped the other side so that the star was now upside down and fit it back together. I don't know what these mean. I am a dream walker, am i just spying on other's casting? or am i watching someone cast on me? I have no clue. so i am going to do some research on pentagrams. But thanks, i'll keep an eye out in my surrounding for things that maybe triggering these.
