Damnation- a poem of the Reaper

Fleeting from the pits of Hell.
Where only the foulest demons dwell.
The Reaper dances through the Gate
Collecting the dead, it cannot wait.
Damned spirits rise from the grave.
Pleading with him, they beg to be saved.
He laughs at them with his skeleton grin.
"I cannot save a devil among men!"
He travels the land from stone to stone.
Gathering the soul from every bone.
"But Death, I am not dead, there is so much to do!"
"Dead you are, for I am here for you!"
Scouring the graves for souls of the lost.
"Please spare me now, I'll pay any cost!"
"All I want is your torment, soul, and pain!"
Unleashing a sadistic smile upon others disdain.
Now he leads them back to the Gate.
The unholy fire where their saviour is too late.
