Headaches after spell work??!!?!?!

So I was wondering whether or not anyone here has experienced headaches after doing any spells? Also, could it be something I am doing wrong and how can I go about preventing them?
A little background/More info:
I find that after working a spell, usually a protection spell, I get terrible headaches, my body begins to feel weak, and my hands begin to shake very badly. This is after I have released my circle and any energy I may have needed to borrow, casting my circle and throughout the spell I am fine. (Most of my spells are extremely powerful and I tend to avoid doing any spells because of the pain afterwards. I stick mostly to grounding myself, maintaining balance and meditation.) Starting from the beginning, I light a candle, acknowledge the four corners (to create my circle) and the deities I associate with, ask for assistance and a blessing, raise my energy, bless my space and tools, perform the spell, release my energy, say a thank you, acknowledge the four corners again in reverse to release the circle and put out the candle. As soon as the flame is out I begin to feel a sharp pain in my right temple and my body begins to feel weak. I usually keep water near by to drink afterward and have to go to a darkened room to close my eyes and meditate a bit. This helps to take the sharpness of the pain away but there is a constant dull, throbbing pain that lingers all day.
On a side note:
I am very sensitive to all the energy around me and on days where I am bombarded with a lot of negativity and have to constantly focus on keeping all that out I also get migraines. I keep some pills on me for days like that but I don't like to take them because they make me feel strange and very out of it.
