Depends.. :). Have you got the URL? How much are they charging?

I'd certainly be sceptical, especially if they're charging.. You have to question whether they're really going to be imparting upon you some great knowledge.. If they're charging you the "Low-Low price of only $199.49!" for the privilege.

You can learn a whole lot more, and probably in greater depth, just by doing your own online research :). I'm sure someone will get back to you soon - Tigerlily is our resident reader, so she may be able to help.. But she's also pretty busy most of the time, so I'm not sure.

All the same, I know there's others here who read tarot, and I'm sure if you ask nicely they'll be willing to assist :).

Good luck!

Hmm, well if it's free.. Then I can see no harm, so long as they don't sign you up to spam in the process. It seems legitimate enough, though. Just be cautious - It's always the best way :)

You can find websites all over the internet that give you the interpertations of each tarot card as well as many many books. I have about two books on the art of Tarot. It's better to learn it on your own really, rather than being taught.
My way of learning it is by reading the books and getting the main point of each card and then as I practice more and more I will pick up things on my own about what the cards are trying to say.
If your a beginner I would suggest finding a beginner deck with very easy symbolism on the cards. There are some really good ones out there. I personally have "The Witches Tarot" as my deck.

Best of luck to you!

It may work, I do see some symbolism in the cards, but then I am very good at finding symbols in artwork.
I would be cautious about ordering them offline, especially if they are used. In my personal opinion it's better to hold the box, or cards in your hands and make sure they ~feel~ right for you. That's how I found my deck. I have to have a connection with them, rather than just getting any I can find.
Also if they are used the essence and energy of the other person may still be in the cards and can make the readings a bit wonky.

However, if it works out for you then all the more power to you.

The best site I've found for tarot, which eclipses every single other site and course I've ever stumbled across is the Aeclectic Tarot site:

http://www.aeclectic.net/

Which includes reviews for almost ALL tarot and oracle decks that you can imagine. A comprehensive forum with threads devoted to the most obscure of tarot topics (and mainstream), and of course a break down on tarot cards, and oracle cards. The site is free, though you *can* subscribe. I haven't, and still find it a simply amazing site. It's also good to read tarot deck reviews from people who have actually seen / used the cards, who have a lot of tarot experience.

Aeclectic Tarot Forums is one of the best Tarot resources out there. Another one is the Lotus Tarot Forums.

Lotus has a free 12 week class on Tarot. Barnes and Noble University has one as well though they only hold it once every 3 months or so. Also Tarotclass.com has three levels of Tarot classes: beginner, intermediate and advanced. All of these are free classes and very good classes for beginners.

Hope this helps,
