Everything Under the Moon

Hi there,

last year around this time I clearly felt the veil getting thinner. For days before October 31 I saw shadows from the corner of my eye, small one, larger ones, scurrying by quickly and silently. After halloween/Samhain this continued for one or two days and I haven't experienced such things anymore since then. I wonder if it will be the same this year. Didn't have the impression these were evil beings or sth like that, it felt just plain normal.

What about you? Already any experiences this year ?

I saw a cat at a patient's house Monday. She doesn't have a cat.
Some years ago, I had an invisible something walk through the leaves in my front yard. I hear the crunching and saw imprints in the leaves. I didn't see what was making them.

Snow

I am seeing the telltale strange behavior of the crows and magpies, screeching at things that 'aren't there'. I am definitely feeling the strange fluctuations in the energy vibrations, almost like the feeling you get in your stomach when you suddenly drop, like on a carnival ride. As the days get shorter I begin to hear whispers and bits of words from the shadows, our cat is 'greeting' invisible 'guests' both outside and in the house. Of course the atmosphere of looking forward to Samhain builds the anticipation...

I am away getting my happy feeling like I usually do around this time. It's basically the feeling that people get around Christmas... Like anything is possible, I just get it on and around this time.

I'd forgotten about the crows. A murder of crows was in my neighbor's yard last week. They were a noisy bunch.
My cats are always seeing various things, so that isn't anything new.

Snow

All kinds of things were flying around in my moms backyard a couple nights ago, it was pretty wild and at one point I was actually a bit frightened. The heavy ectoplasmic smell was fleeting and not as strong when I first arrived about 3 weeks ago. I figured the neighbor was still flitting about since his departure was sudden and tragic. I asked hin not to frighten me and told him the memorial was nice and that his kids looked like the were doing well.
Back at home here I haven't been listening or aware.

Can't say I've noticed anything but I live in the southern hemisphere so it isn't Samhain here.

That's a good way to describe it. A sense of mystery and excitement. My mind always finds itself wandering into the distant past and looking forward to something great happening. This will go all the way past Yule. Maybe because we are spending more time in the dark this time of year, and it triggers instincts within us...

Samhain or Halloween or whatever you call it...it is nothing that is restricted to certain areas even if it isn't celebrated. it is there, wherever you are.

Still waiting for some signs..would love to hear, see, feel something. Maybe it eludes me this year?

With the seasons reversed in the N & S hemispheres, I can't help wondering what seasonal "schedule" people on the equator observe I.e., in Equadore? And N. Brazil? You'd have to be located above the meridians to have annual dying back of vegetation, wouldn't you? Otherwise there are seasonal monsoons, I guess. I've never traveled and it shows...And just of minor interest, i read that this Dec 21st, 2017 the earth's equator will align with the galactic center for the first time in 2500 years. is this significant? I dunno.

I think when times of the year like Samhain were historically celebrated by pagan communities, they probably had no idea they were living on a round earth that spins on a slant, and therefore not aware the opposite side of the world experienced seasons in reverse. So if you were to travel to the southern hemisphere and start living the same pattern by the seasons during that era, Samhain would appear to be in April. So presumably they would have thought the veil gets thinner at this time too.

Spirit, the line up of the equator and galactic center are a time of balance and renewal. Don't be to sure of ALL the people in ancient times not knowing the earth was round. Circa 200 BCE a Greek math guru worked out an experiment that "told" him the earth was round. He even figured the circumfrence of the earth to within 8 % of the figure we use. Most all the sea captains knew as well, even if the average sailor didn't.

I was talking rather about a feeling...but you are right, if you look at it purely locally and therefore seasonally, then yes, no Samhain in the Southern hemisphere now Besides this, the veil is getting thinner around the end of April/beginning of May, too.

Or maybe it will be something HUGE that changes everything for you...
