Everything Under the Moon

Quite awhile back I had made a post about a dear friend of mine. I had explained that it was someone I loved dearly but had a disease that would kill him by his thirties. I had recieved some nice comments of comfort which I am thankful for, however I have some wonderful news.

Apparently the doctor they went to was a complete and total idiot. He does not have a disease that will kill him. My friend, his name is Dan, went to the doctor with his mom because the doctor said he had some news for them. Well it seems the doctor was just an idiot and the only condition Dan has is severe migrains that give him horrible headaches and can cause him to have siesures(sp?). This whole time they were medicating him for the wrong things and telling him the wrong things. The only medication he needs is for his migrains! He's going to live a normal healthy life! ^_^ I was so happy to hear that news and I just HAD to share it with everyone.

I'd love to punch the doctor for causing so much fear and grief for his family, but I'm to happy with the news to even care about that. Thank the Goddess he will be fine!

It's allways wise to get a second opinion on matters of health.

WOW that is such great news! I'm SO happy for him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely love when stuff like that happens. A lot of times in life only the bad things are told - like the amount of times you hear something bad someone said about you but no one ever says the good things!!!

It also proves what I already believe, that doctors arent the be-all and end-all they're made out to be (although of course some of them are excellent as well and have helped a lot of people). I think the best thing we all can do is start by eating properly, exercising and all that kind of stuff, (boring as it may be haha) because prevention is way better than any chemical some doctor gives you because he/she types a few words into their computer and decides what disease you have!

I remember you posting about this way back when! I'm happy that everything got sorted out in the end.. Sometimes you do have to wonder about Doctors...

You can go and speak to one, who tells you one thing.. Then go to another, who tells you something entirely contradictory. D'oh!

Best to, as Awen says, try and prevent it in the first place if possible .

Hell, yeah! That's awsome news, i don't care who you are. I'm sure your friend has a new appreciation for life after thinking that he would lose it. Still, were I not a pacifist, I'd reccomend a serious beat-down for that jackass doctor.

On the news last night thay where talking about a way to cure migrains, saying that when you clench your teeth you make it worse and so a dr made this ..clip...like thing to put over teeth and help stop the migran, with no medasin.
