Fish eating fish

Is there any significance of a fish eating another fish? In my dream I watched the fish suck in the other fish and immediately felt happy, but then the fish died and vomited blood, which immediately made me unhappy.

Sounds like it's inspired by the daily news.
In nature's food chain the big fish eat the smaller fish.
