Proof of the Threefold

Postby Wolf Heart » Mon Jul 31, 2006 9:37 am

Almost all my life I have tried my hardest to be a good daughter for my parents. I did fight with them a lot (what teen doesn't?) and we have had our differences, but I did always try hard. The worse thing I do "behind their back" is smoke, which I'll be 18 soon and then I'll tell them, anyways. I love my parents, and although a lot of people think it's wierd I say "I Love You" all the time to them, when I leave or hang up the phone or whatever.
Well here's proof that what you give out comes back threefold. We own a two story house. The top upstairs is a seperate apartment and we had a guy who rented it from us. Well he started causing problems because he's a drunk, so my folks told him to be out by next summer, that's a whole year. Well he packed up his things and left a couple days ago. Now here's the proof, my parents gave me the apartment. I'm super excited and love them even more now, haha. I don't have to pay rent, yet, all I have to pay is my utilities.
This is just one example of how if you do something good for someone, they'll do something good for you. It also shows that loving and spending time with your folks is a good thing.

Well I thought I'd share that information with you because I'm really excited about this and just gotta tell everyone. I haven't moved up there yet, there's a lot of cleaning to be done before I can do that. Hard work really does pay off!!

I don't see how your story is proof that the three fold is real. You were seemingly a good, loving daughter who parents rewarded them, as a lot of parents do.

I think what Wolf Heart is saying is that the reward she recieved is, at least to her, 3 times better than what she gave to her parents. :D

Or maybe I'm just weird?

I can see how it could be viewed in that light, however, I don't see a *reward* as proof of the Three Fold Law. I've seen more examples in life that would prove that the Three Fold Law is simply an ethical principal incorporated and taught in a religion than I've seen examples that would prove it's a Law that applies to all.

I can kind of see it and kind of not.

I see things as a more karmic thing, than receving actual physical rewards. I am a good daughter, so perhaps my children will be good children. If I intentionally harm someone, I will be harmed threefold. Am I making sense?

I usally take solice in the three fold law. I had a customer in my work the other day who was intollerably cruel and rude to me. He was so awful security had to hover around me while his issue was being sorted out. Management was afraid I was going to get physically harmed. I know that whatever hurt and abuse he rained on me will be returned threefold, and that hopefully he will learn his lesson about rudeness and cruelty to anyone, not just cashiers :) I don't see it as a revenge thing, but it makes me feel better that he might learn from *his* hurt.

If you take solace in the Three Fold Law then by all means adhere to it, it's part of who you are and what you believe. Usually when I discuss the three fold law I end up being rather aggressive because normally when I discuss this the other party seems to try to "push" this belief system on me or at times come down on me harshly because I won't adhere to its principles in regards to my spellwork. But since you've been nice then so shall I and NO that's not karma that is the nature of this beast LOL I have a hard time believing when I see small children suffering from abuse and hunger or dying from cancer, think-no child deserves to suffer these things, they are innocent and owe no karmic debt. I have a hard time believing when I see good people being hurt or killed while trying to do only good (Missionaries come to mind) I have a hard time believing when I see people constantly doing wrong and never receiving their just punishment. For me it's not a practical belief since there is no consistancy in it. I think in a Perfect World Karma would exist always with everyone always getting what they deserve be it good or bad but since we don't live in a perfect world then <insert my sig line from below>
