The Hunger

The one and only poem I've ever written.
The Hunger
By "Gardak"
Im not afraid to die
But to die to this unjust cause
That is what I am truely fearful of
I do not know what to do with my life
All this hatred and stress...
Its a wonder I still survive
I do not know how to comprehend
The other people living like I should
I want that life, I want it so bad
I listen to this somber tunes
I listen to the tunes of war
The tunes of peace
We as a human race live our lives by song
One person cannot truely say that music doesnt
In some way
Effect their life
I see the sadness in the artists eyes
The small band trying to make it big
I can see their hunger for fame
What do I hunger for?
Why I hunger for many things
I hunger for more things then any other soul
I hunger for peace
Yet I inspire war
I hunger for strength
Yet I am weak
I hunger for a place to belong
Yet I belong nowhere
I hunger for understanding
Yet I am always misunderstood
I hunger for bliss
Yet all I receive is pain
I hunger for love
Yet I will never find it
I hunger for money
Yet I will remain poor
I hunger for many things
Things I will soon not have
Things that other people have
I envy those people
But I envy no one more then myself
For the hunger keeps me alive
The hunger keeps me alive
