Well that can't be a good sign.

So, I set my altar up a few days ago. Cleaned the room, purified the space, constructed a very basic altar with objects that held a lot of meaning to me in the hopes that it would help with my characteristic hesitance to believe anything completely. (It's a flaw, I know.)
I said my evening devotion and went to bed, everything in one piece. I'm a chronic insomniac, so "sleeping" isn't something I partake of often, but I got two or three hours last night, which is pretty good for me. I'm also a very light sleeper, and I would have woken up at any noise.
When I finally gave up on sleeping in and hauled myself out of bed, I looked over to my altar, and it was trashed. Most of it was on the floor, salt everywhere, rips in my altar cloth, my chalice shattered - so on and so forth. I heard -nothing- last night. I must have slept straight through it. I only live with my mother, and she doesn't care one way or another about me, so I know it wasn't her.
I know that there's probably a perfectly reasonable explanation (somewhere,) but I'm a little freaked. Suggestions, anyone?
