My Pentagram I Wear....

My Pentagram I wear with pride
For all to see
So Mote it be
My Pentagram I’ll never hide.
My Pentagram I wear with joy
With my shoulders back
Despite the verbal attack
And comments from the other boy
My Pentagram I wear till death
And then through life again
My Pentagram I wear with pride,
My Pentagram I’ll never hide.

I liked the poem. It combines the love and devotion you have for your pentagram with the ignorant comments (possibly by a classmate or co-worker?) very nicely!

Yup. No matter who you are, what your hobbies or beliefs or activities are, someone is going to slam you for it. But by recognizing that, that it isn't just you, then you can begin to transcend that garbage pettiness and live your life for yourself.

Yep. even being Jewish is very hard, becuase anything that is not Christian, in most places is the devil.

basically everything sucks and your gonna get looked down on for something, some more than others but in essence who really cares.

Witch, you're forgetting that it isn't just religion that gets slammed. Beliefs in political and humanitarian ideas, alternative or tolerant lifestyles, and even the fact that these and minority religions aren't so 'minor' anymore means that there's a lot of people slamming the Christians as well. It's easy to feel opressed etc, because we all are. Every last one of us. That is, until we decide not to be, and hopefully that isn't accomplished by just being the oppressor.
Hard-line Christians do look around and see everything as the devil. That's quite comical sometimes. But I know that Jews look down on everyone else as well, and I have definately met Pagans that turn their noses up or actively slander the 'unenlightened'.

Yeah, there isn't much that isn't slammed in one form or another. I suppose breathing is the only activity that you can do without any sort of comment... unless it's heavy.

Oh, ok, maybe if you like yardwork people like generally you.
If you like baking... you are not a healthy person. If you like firearms, you are a reckless red-neck. If you like sci-fi, you are a geek. (what's wrong with that, I ask??) If you excersise, you are a health nut. If you like nature, you are a tree hugger. IF you are a pagan, you are a wierdo. If you are normal, you are square. It goes on and on.

Oh, and I should say something about the poetry.
It's very good. I like the cadence, and the form.
I tend to prefer poems with less repetition, but that's a personal thing.

From all the Jewish people i have been around, none of them look down on anybody else, and all of the ones i have been around have been very open to my beliefs. Maybe SOME Orthodox people would do that, but certainly not Reform.
