Hi All,

I am in debt and though it is entirely my fault due to my lack of self control in my spending habits I have decided to speak with my bank this Monday. Please send positive energy my way that the bank will be compassionate with me and not charge me higher interests than I can afford or even better, freeze my interest rate until I get a stable job as I am currently temping as I am scared I might get sent to court for this. Thanks so much in advance.

Love and light,

DM

I know exactly how you feel about debt issues. Years ago, while in college, I went a bit spend-happy myself and regretted it later. When I finally sat down and decided to do something about it, after a few tearful and sleepless nights, the ideas and the solutions eventually came.

I had vowed never again, but over the past year I had no choice. My family suffered multiple catastrophic blows. Luckily we had "stockpiled" on savings during the good years or else it could have been much worse. Furthermore, I had developed golden lines of credit over the years as a "convenience user." It got bad enough this year that I had to tap into them. It was either that or let my husband and my dog die painful deaths, among other things. I'm hoping it's a good thing in the long run, when we recover. Anyways, I digress.

The solutions will come. Just keep looking. I cannot explain it, and I have to constantly remind myself many times, but the solutions will come. I would suggest even try some money and prosperity spells, meditations with green candles, stuff like that.

It is good, that you take responsibility for this when you say it was from spending habits. A lot of times banks can try a workout but I do not know what you mean about the courts. Is this a bankruptcy case or something? Once it goes to collections, it can hurt your credit score but at least the interest stops piling up and sometimes a settlement can be made. I'm not 100% sure of that, though.

I would also suggest visiting the message boards for The Clark Howard Show. There is a message board there for just the discussion of debts. List your debts and your situation there. There are a lot of good money wizards there, believe me.

Let me tell you that you are brave to work on this! debt is more common these days, but it's a hard thing to get out of if it progresses past a certain point! courage and good luck!

Let me tell you something I did about 2 years ago. I took a $100 bill which was in a bank envelope of money to spend or pay for things I'd need...decided to put a money spell on the $100 bill rather than spend it.

Well, I put the blessed $100 bill in a new white letter envelope...placed it safely hidden in my dressor. At times would get it out to meditate while holding in my hands. I later did the same with a $50, 2 $10 bills, each in a different envelope.

Later (like this last summer) finally got them in my wallet because was going to spend them. Spent the $50...but now not having to spend the others. This has helped me to avoid taking more money out of the savings account at the bank.

Carry them with you, don't spend unless you really have to...but then you give the magic away to someone else. :)
