Have any of you had a dream in which you die? I haven't but i hear it's impossible anyway. i think the closest i've had would be last night when i dreamed that i was leading a CSI.

To dream of your own death, indicates a transitional phase in your life. You are becoming more enlightened or spiritual. Alternatively, you are trying desperately to escape the demands of your daily life.

I'll go by the way of the tarot, my interpretation.
That your death is a new beginning of an event.
dead, than resurrected...falling, flying.

I have had a few dreams, (even when i was little) that I die (actually die) in my dream and then I'll come back to life. It even feels like my soul leaves my body, it's not painful though, it's somewhat peaceful in a way. Besides the fact of me sort of being scared usually that I've died I'm still aware of what's going on around my body. I also have a lot of dreams of falling, and when i have those dreams i usually wake up with a jolt and sometimes suck in a gasp of air then I'll go back to bed once i realize that I'm in my bed.
I use to always have dreams of flying, but it wasn't normal flying. I would have to sort of "pull" on something that was above of me that i couldn't see, like some sort of a bar.
I could explain what needs to be explained more if needed, just say so.

Sorry to rehash an older topic, but how about suicide in a dream?
I can remember having one as a teenager where basically a group of people including myself were trapped by Vampires and there was no escape. The choice was to become one of them or suicide, which was what we all chose. As I died in the dream all I can remember is a falling sensation towards nothing, before waking up (or being woken up, I cant recall). This occurred in my final year of boarding school and I recall the fellows that slept nearby saying I was going ballastic in my sleep before waking up. I dont think I have ever been so scared or drenched in sweat as I was on that occaison.
Has anyone experienced anything similar??

When I was younger I dreamed that the clown penny (From a horror movie whose name I can't remember, I think it might have been called 'IT') came up to me and stabbed me with a knife after a long chase scene. My body sunk below the floor and I watched the rest of the dream like I was watching a movie, but I was under the floor looking up. Saw the clown kill everyone. Bad bad dream.
Has anyone experienced anything similar??
Sorry, no.

I've had several dreams of dying. In one dream I drove my car off the road into a cave with a lake in it. My car started going under water. I knew I should fight to save my life, but I wasn't able to move (probably sleep paralysis carrying over into my dream). Even though I knew I should fight so that my mother wouldn't grieve for me, I had this feeling of complete peace that had come over me. I knew I was dying and I wanted more than anything to just give into the feeling. So I did, and I died. I awoke in bed, feeling like I had passed a test given to me by the spirits. I didn't struggle against death. I gave into it and that was the right decision.
Another dream where I died was this one, taken from my dream journal:
Ron and I were walking through a cornfield (it was the field next to my old house). There was a man there walking with us. We came upon another man inside the cornfield and he was telling Ron that they had taken over the village and were in charge now and everyone would have to do as they ordered. He said that Ron would have to hang the guy that had been walking with us. Ron didn't want to do that and I believe he said so out loud. The guy said, "You don't have a choice since we have taken over your village. You must do as we say." Ron gave me a look and I knew he was going to escape (I didn't live in the town and I think I could leave at will.) Ron slipped past me and ran away. The bad man tried to follow but I grabbed him and started hugging him romantically to distract him from chasing Ron. He reached up and shot me in the neck and I awoke instantly, still feeling the air blast in my neck.
It's funny that I would die in my dream only to awaken and realize it was all just a dream and that THIS is my real life. What's even odder is that when you die, the same thing happens - you wake up and realize that this life has only been a dream.
People who have near-death experiences (out-of-bodies) say that when they find themselves in the spirit world they realize that the human world was the dream and the spirit world is the true reality. I think that's interesting.
I had another dream where I died but was stuck inside my body not able to move. I awoke in my bed, still paralyzed and I was afraid that I had slipped into a coma and was going to be stuck like this forever. It was scary. I finally struggled my way out of the sleep paralysis and awoke.
