Can you answer this? It's about my dreams.

This is very long; I'm terribly sorry.
Ever since I was young I have had night terrors. Not the typical "there was a monster" kind, either. They are so vivid I sometimes have to walk around the house and make sure everything is okay. I have even walked into my little brother's room to make sure he was still there. Here's an example;
I had a dream a few weeks ago that EVERYTHING in my home was gone. As a matter of fact; my walls were stripped white and even the carpet was gone. I specifically remember the fact that it was freezing cold in my living room. I wandered upstairs and my dad was packing his computer into a box. I asked him what was going on and he said "ask your mom." I remember most of this dream and it still creeps me out a little.
Also, when I was younger I had a fear of looking into mirrors when it was dark ((I know, a very odd thing to fear indeed!)). One night I dreamt I had awoken to find our antique "sink" table at the foot of my bed. When I looked into it (it was dark in my dream) there was a man standing directly behind me.
Lastly, I had reoccuring dreams as a child where I would be riding in the passenger's seat of my parent's car, look away, and look back and they would be gone; the steering wheel mysteriously moving itsself.
My boyfriend frequently complains of my crying, moaning, and flailing in my sleep. Is there any way to stop this? I have tried almost everything. I even resorted to Ambien eventhough I am pharmacophobic. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank you.
