Re: Binding a familiar to an inanimate physical body?
The way you'd do anything in magic is with what you state as your intent & hold in mind. Use phrases in the present-tense & not the wanna-be. In the context of making a spirit-house, an invitation to reside there at their pleasure suggests they come & go as they wish, but saying it make...

Re: Pyramid vs Sphere for black mirror divinitation
Thank you both for your responses! Most of what's stopping me is that large, solid hematite masses are kind of expensive (2.6" hematite sphere is 1.7lbs and $56 ). Also just realized that a 1.7lb sphere is gonna be too heavy for most mag-lev platforms (most only hold about 350 grams, and 1.7lbs...

Pyramid vs Sphere for black mirror divinitation
I want to try black mirror divination using hematite, ideally floating using maglev. Would there be a magical difference between using a sphere and a four- or three-sided pyramid? https://www.bestcrystals.com/content/images/thumbs/0005413_50mm-hematite-sphere_450.jpeg vs https://images-na.ssl-images...

Re: Binding a familiar to an inanimate physical body?
Okay maybe binding it to the form is too much, too powerful magic. I like the visualizing concept, I feel like that will help bond it. Would there be a way to make the form a vessel, something it can voluntarily inhabit? So more of like making it custom-made to fit him, so that it's easy and comfort...

Binding a familiar to an inanimate physical body?
Hello all, the short of this thread is that I have a familiar, who approached me astrally and requested to work with me, but they desire a more physical body through which to interact with the world. I'd like to perform a ritual on Samhain, when the veil between worlds is thinnest, but I'm not sure ...

Re: moon lessons.
Here's a good graphic to help with moon phases: https://proxy.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftse1.mm.bing.net%2Fth%3Fid%3DOIP.v_7TQvzwQ-JjStQNzJfqFQHaHa%26pid%3D15.1&f=1 A "full moon" is when you can see the entire moon illuminated. A "new moon" is when the whole moon is ...

Re: Birth marks and past lives?
I've got a dark spot high on my back left shoulder about the size of a quarter. It looks more-or-less like a gunshot wound. I wonder who shot me? It must've been a while ago, as the location is wrong for it to have been instantly fatal unless I was shot from VERY high above. Maybe I was sniped? Or s...

Difference between astral beings?
I've seen some posts around referring to spirit guides, familiars, angels (guardian and otherwise), dragons, and more. How do you determine what kind of being you're speaking to, if they're in the astral realm? I looked but I haven't seen any good, conclusive differences between the different types ...

Re: The Four Elements and Why one Isn't
Arguably none of the states of matter, other than solid, can maintain their state without a supply of energy. Water becomes ice when it loses enough energy (heat = energy). It just happens that plasma needs a lot of energy to stay in state, which makes it seem more fleeting. About the electrons thou...

Re: Technowitchcraft / technopaganism
You could try to harness the natural electrical pulses in the body; every heartbeat, muscle twitch, breath, etc is controlled by a small pulse of electricity. Thoughts are detectable as electrical waves. If you want to track brainwaves, it's an EEG (Electroencephalography) machine, and if you want t...

Re: Technowitchcraft / technopaganism
Both those threads are fascinating. I commented on the four elements one because my response was too long to post here. And I feel like using a robot within a spell would be fine, as long as you consecrate it (as another commenter said). I see no reason why a robot should be any different from any o...

Re: The Four Elements and Why one Isn't
I like your post about the fourth element being electricity, rather than fire. Though I think in classical thinking the four elements do refer to the four states of matter; air=gas, water=liquid, earth=solid, and fire = plasma. It's just that plasma in general is very hard to create, outside of fire...

Black Mirror Scrying My thought is to combine a magnetic levitation platform https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/31tB14r1BHL._SL500_SS75_SS75_.jpg with a hematite globe, since hematite is magnetic https://proxy.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi.ebay...
