Hi ViruzWicca!

There is. Causes of Crohn's can commonly be traced back to a viral infection of some sort (like intestinal flu) that has settled in the intestines. The Lymphatic system then becomes disturbed due to the toxic buildup in the bowels. Or, it could be caused by a problem further up in the digestive system like malfunctioning of the stomach, small intestines, or liver that can produce a toxic load on the lower intestines. It can also be traced to pressure on spinal nerves which govern the digestive system. What happens there is that improper digestion and assimilation in the upper gastro-intestinal tract leads to inflammation in the intestines.

Here's an outline of what can be done:

1) Diet. Consume 80% Alkaline-based foods to 20% Acid-based foods. This is actually what the normal human diet should be. I can provide a breakdown of Acid and Alkaline foods if you like.

2) Internal cleansing. A Hydrotherapy program of drinking 6-8 glasses of water per day and a diet of fresh fruits and vegetables.

3) Spinal manipulation and massage. Osteopathic manipulation would be preferable but a good Chiropractor will also do the job.

4) Medicine. There's a specific herbal formulation that has proven highly successful in the past for persons experiencing inflammatory bowel disease. There's also another herbal remedy for people experiencing diarrhea. Lastly, there's something you can take to combat the general fatigue and debilitation that can accompany this sort of condition.

5) Grape therapy. No kidding. Grapes in the diet and in abdominal packs can be very helpful!

6) Attitude and emotions. Like anything else, the outcome depends greatly on mental attitude.

I don't want to tie up this thread with the in-depth details unless requested so if this treatment sounds like something you would be interested in exploring please feel free to either PM or let me know here and I'll give you all the nuts-and-bolts!

Blessings to you and Wellness soon!

thank you so much for these guidelines, i might follow some. I dont really believe that doctor prescriptions will help , i'd rather change my diet and try to do as usual.

I normally drink about a litter of water per day and try to eat fresh and baked-cooked meals, i dont like raw vegetables so much and I'm not a fan of red meat either. I love fruits although and should be eating more and thanks god I love grapes so that is another great idea.

Thanks!

I'm not a big believer in doctor prescriptions either. The herbal formulas I referred to are all comprised of nature-grown elements that you would put together yourself and not pills or anything like that.

im deffinately interested in this aswell. You said preasure on the lower back nerves can irratate this? I have a lot of back problems which the doctors & therapists can't keep in check. so if I can find a way to fix those problems it will help my digestive issues? I have never heard this before, it interests me greatly.

Hi Isis!

Yes, spinal abnormalities are a possibility. The best way to find out may be to go to an Osteopath that does spinal manipulations and have an exam done. Specifically, the Osteopath would be looking for lesions along the spinal column. Unfortunately, it's tough these days to find a doctor who doesn't almost automatically recommend surgery. Many Osteopaths no longer actively practice manual manipulations but if you can find a good one...

A Neuropathic doctor may also be very good for this.

Much of the underlying problem of modern medical treatment is that doctors and therapists treat the symptoms rather than the root cause of the problem. Quite often their answer is simply to surgically remove what seems to be the troublesome part. Unfortunately, this rarely solves the problem, quite often creating a whole new set of problems. I could go on and on about this but I won't.

Osteopathy is rooted in the idea that Anatomy (structure) and Physiology (Function) are closely interrelated and mutually interdependent. Illness is often caused by a structural impairment of some sort. This impairment naturally causes bodily systems to become uncoordinated so you get toxic buildups, neurological misfires, etc.

If you're interested I may be able to come up with the name of someone in your area who might be able to help. Or if you want further details please let me know or PM me.

Blessings to you!
