Making time to meditate tells the Universe that you are ready and willing to (do whatever). The more you meditate, the easy and faster it should become.

You can always work on meditation as you go to sleep.

You can associate something with your meditations when you do have time. Something like a word or phrase or tone. Once you condition whatever stimulus you choose with the meditation, you will be able to use just the stimulus to illicit the desire state quickly.
Xal, you're great. I'd also like to say that I learned from a great buddhist that saying "thinking" silently or "worrying" or "wanting" etc. when any of these thoughts or emotions are constently in my head makes letting go of them that much easier.

You must control your mind to find your center.
