Ever had success with spells/magick alone?

I know that magick does not work with the twitch of a nose and I know that we have to put physical effort in our goals.

Have you ever been in a situation where magick was the only option? In other words have you ever faced such a difficult circumstance that magick seemed the only way to open a door? Did it work?

I have personally never felt that I ever did a spell for something that only worked because of me. I do believe that I put the idea out there to the universe and that it did respond, but I have to admit that there are thousands of outside influences that would have also played their parts.

I've never felt that there was no other option than magick. For example - getting a job involves applying, not just magick. Putting positive energy out there to accomplish something definitely works, and magick does work as a catalyst. It's a way of focusing and sending different types of energy to the appropriate places. The ritual is a great focusing tool. Everyone has different methods to do this. Finding yours takes time and practice and faith.

One time my BF and I were being thrown out of our house and not having any money to rent a new appartment we did a spell for money. (I was very new to the craft) Anyway he couldn't find a word for Money so he used Cattle being a Montary Value. The spell worked about 4 days later we found a trailer that was for rent (cheap) and the kicker was it was right in the middle of a Cow Paster. I was so LMAO..... We actually had to get out of our car at times and "shew" the Cows out of our driveway just to get home. I will never forget that as long as I live. anyway Thought I'd share it with you all...

I think we can live without actively seeking magic. Millions of people do it. Magic is just a different way of going about it. Magic is no easier than mundanely seeking a solution, and often requires both. Magic seems easier because we live in a neopagan driven age that 8/10 times teaches us that if we light a candle and say the words out of this book, or buy the ultra-potent spell off ebay done by the high priestess of the Unicorn MoonDrop Blackwoods coven, viola, all of our dreams will come true.

Real magic can take considerable time and years of education as to what works for you as an individual. I'm not saying there are those moments of true intutition when we have instant gratification for a problem with which we have given a great amount of intent, but I believe both Wiccans and witches can agree that magic is no easy solution for impossible problems.
