Did I Dream of My Future Husband?

Postby Lily Cantodea » Sun Mar 21, 2010 7:48 pm

It's not my intention to get married - I want to focus on my education and establish a medical practice before I even think about getting married. I'm single and not looking for a date or anything like that.

However, some time ago I dreamed of a wedding. My wedding. I don't remember where it was exactly - the details are fuzzy now, but I believe it was in some sort of church. I do remember my groom very clearly. I think he was of mixed race (white and black - I'm not trying to be racist, mind, so I apologize if I've offended anyone). He was very handsome, with lightly tanned skin, blue eyes, and dark brown hair. I remember being very happy and dancing with him, and I know we kissed in the dream. I think I may have woke up, but when I went back to sleep again I dreamed of him again, but this time I was in the kitchen with my mother. She told me that my husband (I kept getting the name Marcus for some reason, though I don't know why) was having an affair. I remember seeing Marcus sitting in a car, talking on his cell phone to me (it doesn't make sense, I know). It looked like he was driving through a tunnel, because I saw gray concrete all around him. He kept insisting that the rumors weren't true, that he was still faithful, etc. I made to reply, but I woke up before I could.

Is it possible that I dreamed of my future husband?

Let me say, though, that if this is the case, it isn't the first prophetic dream/premonition I've had.

It does seem possible, however it could be that you were seeing someone else's life in real time through their eyes.

I know for me I'm never able to see my future clearly, I can see others clearly when fate decides for me to see, but never my own.

I've had prophetic dreams before, so if I indeed did dream of my future husband, I'm not really all that surprised. I think it's a gift I have, since I tend to have such dreams frequently.

However, if it's of someone else's life, I wonder why I would be dreaming of their life? I'd never seen that man before in my life - I knew nothing but what he looked like and his name.

I forgot what it was called, but several friends or past acquaintances have just stumbled into another person's life like that.

Do you have any theories as to why we tend to do that?

My theory is extreme stress, either from the person who slips into the other or vis versa, trying to view another person's life or escaping the stress of your/their own for a bit of rest.

Is it possible, do you think, that people subconsciously allow others to glimpse into their lives for whatever reason?

Well, I can tell you right now this guy, this Marcus, was NOT in the same room. LOL

Wait...what if I experienced astral projection and didn't know it, and somehow I ended up in a scenario from this man's life?

I don't get the feeling that this is what happened though. You said that you were on the phone with him right, that doesn't sound like a typical astral projection scenario.

Well, yeah, I was on the phone with him...well, maybe I wasn't necessarily in his consciousness, but maybe his wife's?

It could be your future husband. If it turns out to be him, let us know because that's pretty interesting.

My dreams are almost always in unfamiliar settings. In the dream, it doesn't feel unfamiliar. It feels like home. But they are places that I've never been to before in my lifetime. It's pretty weird. I always wonder if part of my soul is living another life while I'm living this one, and the other life is what I'm dreaming about.
