Hecate is a Greek goddess
Cerridwen is a Welsh goddess

Some Wiccans incorporate many goddesses, and others simply refer to the Goddess as Goddess. Typically from what I have heard though I hear of Maiden, Mother, Crone.

here's some websites that have more information:

The Goddess and God have many names. I like the example that Christopher Penczak used. The Divine is like a Diamond. The whole Diamond can be referred to as The Great Spirit, The Divine, Absolute Truth, etc. Divinity in its entirety. The Diamond has many facets or faces. The biggest two are Goddess and God. Those two are divided in three. For example, the Goddess would be divided (as mentioned) into Maiden, Mother and Crone. The facets get even smaller. Now you are dealing with actually deities. For example, the Goddesses Isis, Hecate, Hera, Freya, etc. The Gods would be Ares, Horus, Osiris, Thor, Loki, Hades, etc.

The smaller deities are connected to the great big diamond and, therefore, you are worshiping the Divine in its entirety. :)

Deities are a matter of preference, most of the time. However, there are occasions when a specific deity that will approach you. The reasons for this may vary. Perhaps the Divine wants you to learn an important lesson or you may require them in a time of need.

Hope this helps a bit. :D

Love and Light,

Blessed Be.

I am an atheist of sorts. I dont believe in any gods or goddesses. Scientifically it doesnt make sense, so i cant accept it.

However i believe in a massive amount of energy, a small part of which is our spirit, and it is the same energy that magick is "made of" i believe that all gods and goddesses are just this energy with a different name. I dont think they are intelligent or all knowing. They are just names to me.

It is pretty much the same as the "diamond" theory, only to me, even the diamond is not a god or goddess. It is just energy that is formed by our emotions, desires and will. It is our magickal energy.

Yes, Firewolf. The whole Yin and Yang concept. There is masculine traits in females and there are feminine traits in males. One coexists within the other and they intermingle.

I always thought Gaea was the Wiccan Goddess?

Yet according to Greek "Mythology" Gaea is Earth and the Original Titan, Uranus is a Satyr (which the Wiccan God is said to be) and he was born from Gaea with no help from someone else. He was the heavens it says.

Now I am officially confused >.<
