Demon Babies Dream

Postby akumaxkami » Mon May 17, 2010 1:47 pm

Please help me sort this out. I've actually had it "analyzed" by a dream interpreter already, but sometimes I think his interpretations are a little too objective:

It starts out with me being pursued (almost romantically) by this demonic figure with red snake eyes and a forked tongue. Other than those features, he's not unattractive. Long dark hair, a nice build, etc.

I resist him, something about it just doesn't feel right. So he forces himself on me and I end up giving birth to his demon babies, which come out as vampiric vines, no joke.

So these demon vine babies start rampaging throughout town, sucking people dry. And all the while, I'm watching this dream from outside of myself. A bird's eye view, if you please.

I'm really not sure what to make of this. Any help or probing questions will be appreciated!

Dreaming about vampires and demons usually symbolizes emotional upheavel or being upset. It could depict someone you have in your life who is harmful, in any way. You could be being influenced by negative examples or hanging in a bad crowd. Everybody in town dying could probably mean loss (but maybe not that extreem, lol). Dreaming of being pregnant in general is supposed to mean that you are "changing".
But what I found the most interesting was that you were watching yourself.. Watching dreams (I call them movie dreams) could mean that others know about this. Other people may know something that you don't..

Anyways I tried. Courtesy of my dream reading book, lol  I hope I wasn't completely useless.

If I remember correctly, he believed that the demon in my dream was a representation of my true self and the parts of my personality I was denying or something.

I don't agree with this "objective" guy that it was a part of you. I agree with zenine, that it could mean that you are on "friendly terms" with a harmful person who is offering you things you find hard to resist. This is especially true as you say he is attractive. It may not necessarily be a romance relationship. It could be a toxic friendship, a boss or coworker, a business relationship, or something like that.

The babies on the vines, if I had that sort of dream, I'd be thinking I am worried about something growing out of control sooner or later. The anxieties of something harmful spreading out of control relates back to this "friendly term" with this demon character.

Dreams are funny that way. They can tell you things that you may be in denial about, but they can also warn you about things that you may not be consciously aware of. Just my opinion. =D
It's like walking down an empty street, listening to your own footsteps. But all you have to do is knock on any door and say, "If you'll let me in, I'll live the way you want me to live. And I'll think the way you want me to think." And all the blinds will go up, and all the doors will open, and you'll never feel lonely. Ever again.

~Henry Drummond, "Inherit the Wind" (1960)
