This is where your beliefs and my beliefs differ. As a Roman Catholic I believe in god, however he has distanced himself from his creations to the point that he needs other beings to take care of things for him.

These beings are the spirits. They live in the spirit realm. The spirit realm and the physical realm are different. The spirit realm must be accessed by opening a gate, and everything in the spirit realm can act with the physical realm in ways that we as physical beings can't.

Hm, fair enough... but what is the difference between your spirit and the passed over spirits? Are you not the same?

The way i see it is that me, you and dave are all spirits. currently we control a human body, much like an operator controls a robot. At some point the body fails us and we leave it alone and move on. We are spirits now, and we will still be spirits when we pass, however for the time being we control a "robot" body. I see no difference.

The only possible difference is that because spirits exist pretty much only on the spirit realm and thus are fully "attuned" or awakened to the spirit world they could in theory be more... knowledgeable on spiritual matters. In the same way i am more powerful when it comes to throwing a tennis ball, they would be more powerful when it comes to projecting energy. But apart from that i dont see any difference...

Do you believe that after death you will become one of the spirits you ask for help, and in turn those alive here will ask you for help and you will do them favours? Or do you feel that you will be on a different "league" to these spirits?

nicely put shadow. our spirit is our selfs how we see the world around us, and how we communtiate around it. when we die we leave our bodies. think of the body as a shell.

Though I do think there are spirits who do have greater knowledge and have fine tuned their abilities if not ascended, I also think we as a spirit can achieve the same things ourselves, it just takes time in understanding, soul searching and learning of how to gain and use such ability.

Yes and no. She was asking what we believe makes a spell effective and by that what our personal beliefs are very much play a roll into what we put into our spellwork to make it effective. Now yes, we did go into a little more detail in the aspect of a certain belief, but it still pertained in how we do spellwork.

Having a good hold on what you believe as well as having some informed conversation to help you in what you may or not believe is always a good thing and helps you grow and that's a big part of making your spells effective.

I usually go outside goto the forest to do my witchcraft because i feel stronger out here because the elements are all around me.
