Sleep-talking in another language?!

Postby XxSunshinexX » Wed Aug 25, 2010 7:12 am

I was just wondering whether it was normal to experience fluency in other languages in your dreams?
I fell asleep on the sofa the other day, and I can't remember the dream or anything but my mam said I was speaking at full volume, completely in another language - one that she had never heard before but was definitely an actual language (I immediately assumed it was spanish or russian, as I speak them near-fluently). She said it had no accent or anything :?
Was I just spouting random sounds, because apparently it sounded like a proper language but could have just been random improvistaion or something. Is it normal? If not, what could be the cause of it?
THanks, Blessed Be! )O(

Uh ,yeah, could be anything ;)

Nothing else happened? Just talking? When it's an important thing, you should normally remember something, a word or a feeling or a symbol and when you don't it would repeat until you remember something you could work with.

I once had a dream, where I was speaking fluently Finnish with the Dalai Lama (I mean, WTF?). He said me a word and that was the only word I could remember. But it was crystal clear and I was able to look it up later on. I didn't spoke a word of Finnish at that time and never had contact with that language, even though now I have quite a fancy. Even though it was a word, spelled correct and everything and it had an important meaning to myself and helped me a bit. So for some reason it's possible to know another language and sometimes it gives you an important lesson. Maybe sometimes it's just an accident and there is no actual reason you are talking in another language and sometimes it's just random gibberish.

When people speak languages unknown to them while in sleep state, they are past life regressing. (they are remembering a past life) Be sure to record it next time!!!

Thank you all so much for your replies!
I think I would agree that it is probably a past life featuring, and I hope to look more into it! I will definitely try to get it on record next time, could be interesting to hear myself!
