I was wondering can anybody tell me if the facts I have of a few More Well KNOWN Gods and Goddesses is correct or not??

Aphrodite: Aphrodite was the Goddess of Love and Beauty, According to legend she is the daughter of Zeus and Dione.

Artemis: The daughter of Zeus and Leto and the twin sister of Apollo. Considered the maiden goddess of the hunt, bearing a bow and arrows, also rumored to be The protector of children.

Zeus: 'Head' God. The god of the sky and thunder. His symbols are the thunderbolt, eagle, bull and the oak. His mother Rhea, hid him in a cave at birth, because his father Cronus killed his father for the throne. Zeus and his siblings, Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, and Poseidon, threw Cronus off the throne.

Apollo: The god of Sun and Music. Apollo is considered to have dominion over plague, light, healing, colonists, medicine, archery, poetry, prophecy, dance, reason, intellectualism, Shamans, and is the patron defender of herds and flocks.

Ares: The son of Zeus and Hera. The god of savage war, bloodlust, or slaughter personified.

Demeter: The Goddess of The Harvest. Demeter is easily confused with Gaia or Rhea, and with Cybele.Demeter's children are Persephone (by Zeus), Zagreus (by Zeus), Despoina (by Poseidon), Arion (by Poseidon), Plutus (by Iasion), Philomelus (by Iasion), and Eubolus by (Carmanor).

for a few more info > http://everythingunderthemoon.net/forum ... 13398.html
Your info is correct and very accurate, although you should know that sometimes a myth has slight differences cause in the old times there were different versions from different poets and historians.

So far in my research I haven't found anything to support that Apollo is connected to shamans other than shamanic work primarily deals with medicine and prophecy.

I believe Aphrodite was goddess of Love, Lust, and Beauty. I also think in most myths she came out of the oceans, born of Uranus' blood.
