'Holding' crystals? (better explination inside)

Postby SilverBlaze » Wed May 11, 2011 10:51 am

Okay, so in order to help get up and over a problem in my life several years back, I had a thought in the shower today. What about finding a crystal, 'flooding' it with the lingering hurt and betrayal and anger and whatnot, and then burying it far away. Sorta like shoving everything in a box and throwing it away. 3 questions immediately popped into my mind on this one:

1) Is it cruel to do to the crystal? (Yes, I'm of the school that even rocks have emotions. Not necessarily super-developed, but it's also cruel to intentionally stomp a worm, imo. So yeah.)

2) Any particular stone good for this? Default would be a generic quartz, but if another stone has a better resonance for this sorta thing. Which brings me to number three:

3) High or low vibrational level?

Any and all advice are, as always, more than appreciated and welcomed.

I think what you are proposing is an excellent idea for your particular issue. I do also believe that everything has a conscious sense of the world around them or in other words feelings but I think that they are in a certain way capable of handling these things in a much different way then we are which is why i feel that this is an ok thing to do.

I think Quartz is an excellent choice but Any dark stone with an earthy and possibly even masculine vibration would work just as well. I would charge it like you had said but also ask it to take this energy and filter it through back into the earth. SO its not just a vessel to "hold" this energy but it also takes it and disposes of it for you.

just a thought

i think its a good idea but i would have settled for a normal rock.. seeing as im not going to buy a crystal for a prupose of burying.. but thats just me =/

*gryns* I have boxes upon boxes of crystals sitting around the house. I've randomly collected them since I was little, much to the exasperation of my mother. ^_^ Wouldn't be likely I'd need to buy one, unless it's a pretty unique crystal. Never thought about a generic rock though.... >.> I tend to forget about them, you know?

OHH, good idea!! *makes a note* Didn't think of that. *gryns wryly* Didn't think much beyond just getting away from it, you know?

Cool. Thanks for the advice guys. ^_^

Hi SilverBlaze!

I like your thinking and I believe you're on the right track. I read an article on this very subject in one of Scott Cunningham's books and tried it for myself with very good results. Here's how it goes:

Pick up any stone you find outside on the ground.

Hold it in your Projection hand (Whatever hand of yours is dominant) and concentrate on the negativity within you. Really let yourself go and bring forth all the hate, malice, resentment, evil thoughts you have and mentally force them into the stone.

When you reach a peak where your ready to shout out "NO!" throw the stone into a body of water such as the ocean, lake, or river. Why there and not the earth? For one because moving bodies of water are better at dispersing the negativity over a wider area than the localization you get in the earth. Better for you, the stone, and anyone in the vicinity who might happen across this rock. Second, the stone may physically explode with the pent up energy contained within it and you don't want to be anywhere near it if it does!

If you go through this process and still feel negativity within you then simply repeat the process until the negativity goes away.

Hope this helped some! Blessings to you!

Ditto what One Walker said ~ I poured a lifetime worth of pain, anger, hurt, betrayal, suffering, hate and plain old shit into a black crystal (it was a fractured chunk of obsidian) that I'd had since I was a teen and then hurled it into a stream.

I can't even begin to describe how I felt afterwards.

I did it on the night of a Last Quarter Moon to aid in the release and banishment of all that crap from my life and then at the next New Moon invoked for healing.

Go for it SilverBlaze!

Love, light and brightest blessings.

Cool, thanks so much guys! I think I'll wait until the moon closes up again...we're inching towards a full here where I am. *hopes it may dry out some too!!* Logic said it was a good idea, but...*chuckles* We all know how logic can deceive us at times! :D
