Request: Banishing Depression Spell

You know that depression that seems to have no reason for being and you know it's not PMS or anything like that? I want it gone. I wanna banish it. I know spells should be personal, but part of this spells importance is someones input. Please.

I would suggest you a sunstone, rub it whenever you feel depressed and sleep with it (on your pillow or in your pocker or even as a necklace) this stone is helping get over depression check my BOS here http://everythingunderthemoon.net/forum ... 76-15.html (roll down I have sunstone there if you want to look at it)

Spell to Banish Depression

You will need:
1 Black Votive Candle
1 White Votive Candle
Dragon's Blood Incense
1 Small Smokey Quartz or Obsidian or any other stone "black" in color
A small sharp knife

Cast your circle as your tradition specifies.
(Better it be when done during the waning of the moon on Saturday at 10pm which is the hour of Saturn)
(call upon the Crone aspect of Goddess and the Sun God)

Kneeling before the altar close your eyes and pray. Pray to the crone and the sun god to aid in your banishing of this depression. Consecrate these tools in this manner:

WIth the dragon's blood incense in hand visualize the smoke becoming a dragon and attacking the depression that is surrounding you and say:

Blood of the Dragon, breath of the God's
Hear Me Now, It has gone too far.
Remove from me through time and space
All the Depression, Hurt, and Angst.
Give to me that which I seek,
As I do will, So it Be.

Take the incesence and completely smudge yourself with the smoke. Get under your arms, behind you, inbetween your legs etc. Visualize the smoke attacking your depression and pulling it away from you but see the depression energy floating around contained in the circle but not attached to you.

Now take the smokey quartz or whatever "black" stone you have chosen and hold it between your hands. visualize the stone working like a treasure chest with a locking lid that is ready to swing shut at a moments notice. Pass the stone through the smoke of the incense. Then taking the knife in your hand and the black candle hollow out a space for the stone at the black candle's base.

Hold the black candle with the stone already in its bottom *hold the stone in place if necessary* and visualize the candle "sucking up all the depression energy the incense has removed off of you. See its flame grabbing hold of it and funneling it down into the stone and within your mind see that once it has pulled all that energy into the stone that the stone *in its treasure chest format* swings closed and secures the energy within it, Light the Candle and Say:

Crone Goddess, Queen of the Night
work my will through this candle's light.
God of the Sun and the new dawn
Let naught my magick ever be turned.

Take the white candle in your hand and visualize it when lit sending a beam of postive energy to fill you and surround you. Light it and Say:

In the name of the Crone Goddess and the Sun God
May you impart on me the wisdom to handle my problems,
May you act as a beacon of hope for a brighter tomorrow,
May you bring forth to me the joy that is the return of the sun.
So Mote It. Be.

Then while concentrating on the flame of the black candle and its specific purpose chant the "Witch's Rune" to aid power to the spell. Once you feel you have raised enough energy send it to the candle's flame. You may then close the circle leaving the candles to burn out completely on their own. Once the black candle has burned out you take the stone and toss it into a running body of water and say : " I command you away!"

Bring all the elements around your alter and invoke their spirits into your circle.

By the green earth
Show me light

Touch the soil (or salt) and then touch your third eye.

By the strong wind

Hold your hand in the incence smoke and touch your third eye.

Hold your hand over the candle and touch your third eye.

Thank them and offer the remaining soil (salt) and water to the earth by burrying it.

Really love both of these! Still have not started a BOS, as I've been very confused (about my beliefs), but as soon as I do start one I would love to put these in it!

As well as doing a spell, such as one of those listed above or your own, I would also suggest to focus on grounding and centering to remove that energy from you and to let positive energy fill its place.
