What is your advice on Love.
We have all been told or heard great pieces of advice on the most talked about topic ever: LOVE. What are some of best you know?
Re: What is your advice on Love.
Something my Mum said to me once was "Boyfriends come and go, but your friends will stay forever."
Not sure how everyone else views this idea, but it's helped me a lot!

Something I think is really really important is knowing yourself, and loving yourself, before you get into a relationship. Also independence is good to a healthy relationship. You need this so that if a relationship turns sour, you have the strength to talk about the problems and get a solution. You need this so you have the strength to walk away from someone who turns out to be abusive in any way.

I read in a newspaper article a little about this tricky topic of Love, it goes something like:
Maybe its destined that we meet a few wrong people before meeting the right ones, so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift. Love is when we take away the felings, passion, the romance in a relatiionship and find out you still care for that person. A sad thing in life is when you meet someone who means a lot to you only to you, only to find in the end that it was never meant to be and you jjust have to let go. It's true that we don't know what we got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives...
Giving someone all your love is never assurance that they will love you back. Don't expect love in return, just wait for it to grow in the heart but if it doesnt, be content that it grew in yours. There are things you would love to hear from the person from whom you would like to hear it, but don't be so deaf as not to hear it from the one who says it from their heart. Never say goodbye if you still want to try, never give up if you still feel you can go on, never say you love a person anymore if you let go of the past.
Love still comes to those that hope although they've been disappointed; to those who still believe; although they've betrayed; to those who have the courage and faith to trust again.
It takes a minute to "crush" someone, an hour to like someone and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.
Thats how i feel

Make sure you are not just in love with someone but like them. When your 80 and the sex is gone you better be able to talk to them.
Re: What is your advice on Love.
NEVER GET INTO A SERIOUS RELATIONSHIP WITH A PARTNER BEFORE 24 FOR GIRLS AND 27 FOR A BOY!!!!!! when you are small you have no idea what the word love really is... after some time when the puppy love is gone you realize that there is more to life than just being locked up by your partner and then its just too late to end because he is obsessive about you and wont let you leave him!!! he threatens you to be with him even if there is no happiness with him.

Sorry this is a little late, but my reply to this is just this:
No one is right all the time. Words are important. Always ask the opposite sex for love advice. Buy here things when she says no. PMS is a time for sweet words, compliments, and hugs. Men PMS too. Study each others emotions and learn how to place the word sorry. The answer to, "you really hurt me" is never, "well, i don't know why." it's usually "sorry, i love you, help me understand." and the answer to that should not be, "if you don't know you don't deserve to know." hold her when she cries. do not be afraid to cry. kiss her even when she hasn't showered in a year. call her beautiful every day.

I was told 'never let the sun set in an argument, for you never know what tomorrow brings'

My soul is awakened, my spirit is soaring. And carried aloft on the wings of the breeze. For above and around me the wild wind is roaring. Arousing to rapture the earth and the seas.

My mom: I don't believe in soul mates. I believe we have the ability to love more than one person per lifetime.
Me: I don't believe in soulmates. But I believe there is only one person your soul will truly mate with per lifetime, so you better make every second count when you find them.
