Honoring Your Patron/Matron God or Goddess

Postby MoonlitOrchid » Sun Oct 16, 2011 3:45 pm

I was just wondering how different people honor their patron/matron god or goddess. I've recently connected with a goddess and haven't decided what I want to do yet. I was interested in seeing how others do this in their lives. Thanks

Prayer is an excellent way to connect with/thank/honor deities, especially if you're a closet witch like me.
Growing from mud, although challenging, offers great promise.

Dance in the moonlight and welcome the Goddess in your heart. If you believe In a God a ritual or prayer would be good. Honoring the Divine can be as simple as saying hello to earth as she awakens or as elaborate as a ritual each day. When you open your heart to the Divine you are honoring them and they know that.
Blessed be :)

I honour them by taking care of the gifts I have been given, by realising their hand in the worlds beauty, by thanking them for all the beauty that they offer us. I strive to be the best I can be because I want them to be proud of me.

Bless

I honor my All-Parent by respecting nature, like for instance recycling, buying evironmentally safe products, being vegan, etc.

I also give offerings/sacrfices according to what Elohim wants of me, which is being a philanthropist: by giving of time offerings, money offerings, and/or item offerings to people as is appropriate for them. I pray to Elohim before I give these things unto Him, as S/He captures the essence of my offerings as I send it out in philanthropic ways.

My Goddess is Isis, but I always give thanks to all of them. Everyday, when something special happens, my spell turns into reality, Esbats & Sabbats, Moon Phases etc. The best way I have learned is by simply communicating with them. Respect nature, pick up trash, recycle. Give gifts to them. They help us and also learn from us too so we should do what we can to honor them as much as possible.
